A while back, I wrote a series of articles that appeared in The Homebrewer, the now-defunct journal of the American QRP Club, that detailed my efforts to build a simple weather station using a PIC microcontroller. Occasionally, people find parts of the project on the NJQRP club web site, but the complete set was not available online. So, I finally packaged up the whole series for download:

The PIC Wx Project (2.7 MB zip file)

I haven’t done any work on this project in several years, so what you see in the zip file is the very latest available. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions regarding this project.

  3. Dave, did you present a paper on the PIC WX at the TAPR DCC years ago? If so, I would like to talk to you about documenting the PIC WX on my new APRS Hardware History webpage. Please contact me when you get some time. Thanks!
