Thanks for the note--glad you like the system! Unfortunately, it won&#039;t work with a dob on an equatorial platform. There&#039;s no way for the interface to sense the motion of the platform. Sorry...

I have a friend who has made a 12&quot; f/5 Dob and would like to know if your unit will work if his scope is mounted on an equatorial platform?

BTW my Ek box is now 5 years old and gets used every clear night on both by 12: f/6 and 8&quot; f/6 Dobs. Everyone who sees it wants one!
I use a Keyspan serial to USB adapter available from Apple stores here in Australia. You could probably obtain one from Amazon I guess as well. They&#039;re not cheap but they work a treat.
